Long Live The Wildhearts

Yeah, I have been lazy, but I have another 5 blogs elsewhere which I usually post on, and no Internet at home, so I have very little time to post on here, however, I will make time today.
Now I just need to think of something to say...ah yes The Wildhearts. I am currently listening a lot to the Japanese best of, with its bonus disc of b-sides, all of which are great of course. I have also purchased Landmines And Pantomimes, which is also great, and now one of my fave wildhearts albums, even though it isn't really a proper album.
Apart from this I have been looking for new bands to like, with skull tanker, deckard, crucified barbara currently at the top of the pile. I have so many new CD's I am almost drowning in music. This is a good thing. Also, I have been listening to a lot of porcupine tree, a truly amazing band, who have somehow managed not to be huge, but their latest album, Deadwing has already been nominated for album of the year in the first classic rock awards, so hopefully the rest of the world can finally discover some proper music instead of shite like coldplay and James blunt(and the mother-fucking crazy fucing frog fucking fucking!!Ahem).

I have also been co-writing a book(which is going to be an epic, and is shaping up well), and helping to make an amateur film, which I am co-producing and acting in. Life is busy. For the moment.

I have been suffering from a lack of gigs though, mainly because of the ammount of money I have spent on CD's recently leaving me with no money with which to go to gigs. I really must remedy this soon though. Alas, the one gig I really, truly want to go to, I can't, because it is the Wildhearts at Scarborough castle. This is way too far away for me, and I am really sad at having to miss it. I just hope this is not their last performance, as I would miss the bastards.

Long live the Wildhearts, long live Ginger, long live rock 'n' roll!

Good Golly Miss Molly!

No reason at all for that title other than that is what I felt like writing, which is a great reason!

In other news, today is the day that a long buried project has been resurected. It shall rise from the ashes(nothing to do with cricket) and shall punch its detractors firmly on the jaw, whereby they shall die.
Anyway, you may want to know exactly what I am talking about. I have, along with a mate of mine, resurected a book we were to write. It will be an epic, and you heard it here first! I may put up extracts from time to time, but whatever, I shall keep you informed.

So far we have done a lot of planning, and are at the stage where we can start putting together the first few chapters. But it is going to be a very extreme, very long and involved book.
More when more happens

As for the rest of this post, you may be interested to know that I recently saw 2 films.
These films were quite different, but each was magnificent in its own way. The films were The Devils Rejects and Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.

First of all The Devils Rejects. Any of you who saw director Rob Zombie's first film, House Of A Thousand Corpses, will know what to expect, anyone else will only be able to guess. Both films are full of violence, gore, nudity, bad language, black humour, and are great as a result.
They are some of the most extreme films that have ever been on general release, and thats a good enough reason for me to go see them. Any fans of horror movies need to see this film, and the original. You sick bastards!

As for CATCF, well that is completely different, but no less brilliant. Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. reason enough to go see it. Here is another reason. IT IS GREAT. So go see it. Now! Go On. You still here? Bugger off! To the cinema!

Oh, and you will experience a craving for chocalate as a result of watching one of these films.

Rock 'n' fuckin' Roll!

I was thinking. Why are there so many religions, but not a religion of rock 'n' roll?

Well there will be soon.

You shall not pass...go. Nor will you collect 200 gold coins.

Well I have slipped back into being slack at posting, but I just haven't had anything I really wanted to say. I still don't really.

What I will say is I am currently drowning in new music, so I will probably do a post on that soon.

Until the next time...

From hell...
